The caracal is a carnivore that typically preys upon birds, rodents, and other small mammals. It can leap higher than 9.8 ft and can catch birds in midair. This couple of loving Caracals lay under a bush in a Cape Town cat sanctuary. These beautiful creatures are rescued from across South Africa and given a safe place to ‘retire’, I visited the sanctuary and was really moved to paint this precious couple.
