Frequently Asked Questions

What references do you use for your paintings?2024-12-10T10:44:06+00:00

I use my own references i.e. I photograph my own animals at various South African game reserves, as well as other live photo shoots. Part of my design career over the past 30 years have been multiple photoshoots, done for some very interesting clients, including game lodges and a lot of premium hospitality businesses, so I had privileged opportunities to take some inspiring photos for paintings. Favourites in South Africa are Botlierskop Game Reserve on the Groot Brak River near Mosselbay in the Western Cape, Addo Elephant Park near Plettenberg Bay and The Garden Route Wildlife Game Reserve.
